Classroom Etiquette

Arrive Early

Getting to class approximately 10 minutes early can help you settle in and align your attitude with the purpose of the class. While you are waiting, you can practice a pose, do a few stretches or just sit or lie quiet to become centered.

Injuries

Please let your teacher know about any injuries or conditions that may affect your practice. If you are injured or tired, skip any poses you cannot or should not do, or try a modified version.

Phones & Electronics

Please do not bring cell phones, pagers, smart watches or other electronics into the yoga room. Leave socializing and business outside of the yoga room, so the peace of the practice is not disturbed.

Quiet

Please try your best to be quiet. It's great to share a class with people you know, but it can be distracting to yourself and others if you have an extended or loud conversation in the yoga room. If you would like to chat with your fellow yogis, feel free to do so outside the yoga room.

Cleanliness

Please help keep the studio clean by throwing your trash, recycling or used towels into the proper receptacles. Put away any props you may have used. Check before leaving to make sure that you haven't left anything behind. (In case you forgot something, we will keep it safe and sound behind the check-in desk!)

Punctuality

Please do not enter class late or leave early, since it is disruptive to others. Try to enjoy your time in savasana.

Caution

DO NOT PUSH IT! Do what you can without straining or injuring yourself. You will progress farther and quicker and maintain a loving attitude toward yourself. Work from where you are, not from where you think you should be. Always honor yourself.
